Polyether-based functional elastomer
Transform deformation into voltage, and voltage into motion. Elastomers that realize Sense & Actuate.
Osaka Soda's polyether-based functional elastomer is a new elastomer that realizes the functions of "Sensing" and "Actuation" in a single material. It has been confirmed to output electrical signals corresponding to deformation and to achieve significant displacement when voltage is applied. It is highly flexible and can also be processed into thin films or film shapes. Furthermore, it features an environmentally friendly design that does not use PFAS or lead, and it is expected to utilize existing mass production processes. We are exploring applications for next-generation smart devices, such as soft robots, wearable devices, tactile sensors, and artificial muscles. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*
